New Waste (Scotland) Regulations mean that from 1 January 2014, every business operating in Scotland will need to separate waste plastic, metal, glass, paper and card for recycling or incur financial penalties. Most businesses working in food retail, food production or preparation will need to separate food waste for collection.
If your business is a waste producer you will be required to safely store and separate waste for collection by a registered waste carrier or waste manager with the relevant authorisation and ensure that the transfer of waste is covered by a waste transfer note including a full description of the waste.
We can help your business comply with these new regulations - Moray Coast Recycling holds all required SEPA waste carrier/broker licenses and issue waste transfer notes for all materials collected.
